Renting a Horse
Three of the five horses go out on rent, for events and for photo sessions. Trailering to the venue is included. Rental depends on the date and on the event, so there is no single posted rate. Tell me both and I will give you a number.

You are renting a horse that is already ridden.
That is one of the three, filmed at the stable in Isabela. Not a stock clip and not a horse that stands in a field until somebody books it.
What a rental covers
The horse arrives ready.
You are not hiring an animal out of a field. You are hiring a horse that has been worked, that loads, and that gets to the venue in my trailer.
Trailering to the venue
Included, not a separate line on the bill. The horse travels in the same rig everything else here travels in, and it loads without a fight because loading is part of what these horses have been taught.
A horse that has been worked
Every horse that goes out has been through the same ground work the training program is built on. Standing, leading, picking up its feet, and not coming apart when something unexpected happens in a warm up pen.
The right horse for the rider
Tell me who is riding and what they have done before. Dolly is the one beginners go on. Cha Cha will take a beginner or an intermediate rider. Barbara is a Paso Fino show horse. Sending the wrong horse out helps nobody.
How it works
From your date to the horse on the ground.
There is no booking form and no deposit page. It is a conversation, and it starts with two pieces of information.
Step 01
Tell me the date and the event
A show day, a gymkhana, a photo hour and a rodeo are different jobs, so those two facts are what a price depends on. Say who is riding as well.
Step 02
You get a number
There is no single posted rate, because the jobs are not the same. I answer within 24 hours.
Step 03
Book the date
Show dates want one to two weeks of notice. The closer to the day you ask, the more likely the horse you wanted is already out.
Step 04
I bring the horse
It is trailered to the venue and it arrives ready to work rather than needing an hour to settle before anyone can get on.
Anyone riding a rented horse signs the release of liability before the event. It is on the site in full rather than handed over on the day.

The stable is on the northwest coast. These are the drives from here, and they are the same numbers the transport side of the business works to.

Cha Cha is also for sale at $1,500. Renting him is a reasonable way to find out whether he suits you before you decide, and the full listing has the rest of it.

How far ahead do I need to book?
One to two weeks for a show date. Sooner is better, because there are three horses and one of them may already be out on the day you want.
Do you bring the horse to me?
Yes. Trailering to the venue is part of the rental, not an extra. The horse travels in the same rig the transport side of the business runs, and it loads quietly because loading is part of its training.
Can a beginner rent a horse?
Yes, on the right horse. Dolly is the one beginners go on and Cha Cha will take a beginner as well. Tell me who is riding and what they have done before, and I will match the horse to the rider rather than the other way around.
Can I rent Cha Cha if I am thinking about buying him?
Yes. He is for rent and for sale at $1,500, and riding him at an event is a more honest way to find out whether he suits you than a viewing at the stable.
